Hmmmm, I'm not certain that tail has the structural integrity necessary to hold that much weight freely suspended from it...

Just a bit or two longer, and it will be a complete joke strong enough to convince me to ignore the series.

I appreciate the slower pace but this is kind of silly when it comes down to it, this fight scene has been going on for many, many strips in a row now and it feels like the whole thing is being fought by people submerged in Golden Syrup.

I'm honestly curious to see which path will be taken. Has Gunny learned his lesson? Does he realize that there are things more important than a flag, such as friendship and the lives of his troops? Are we going with the cliche, but happy, moment?

Or are we going dark? Is Gunny, when backed up against a wall, going to follow his programming and get the flag? After all, he's already tried to do it the good way, and it hasn't worked out too well for him. Stabbed in the back, probably on the verge of death. So is the path going to be the disappointing, "didn't learn his lesson" path instead?

Or is Gunny going to realize that a flag weighs like, six pounds, so he can easily pick it up and save his companions at the same time?

I saw a wild fox today. It has killed at least 5 chickens over the last few days. The fox was stood under a lamplight at night on a suburban pavement next to a big English oak; only its' silhouette visible and there was no one else around but me and him. I considered chasing it, but the whole scene overpowered me with beauty. It was only a brief moment before it ran off into the shadows, but I will never forget that perfect chance encounter. At a time of doubt, despair and fading inspiration, it breathes the hope that there is still wonder to be found in unexpected places. Maybe I should paint it.

Oh, right...comic strip. Yeah, not bad. Keep at it!

This strong tail continues to leave you off the edge of your seat...

Other than that, any last words, Gunny?

Now the big question is: how many strips will it take to Gunny to save them? Any bets?

My bet is four,
Strip 1: Gunny wipes a tear off his visor and makes a commentary about love, peace and all that crap.
Strip 2: Erin starts to lose grip of the raccoon and 3 panels are dedicated to showing their hands moving further apart.
Strip 3: Cory goes on holiday so we get a sketch of Erin sat in a darkened room playing on a ColecoVision.
Strip 4: Gunny just kicks them off the edge...because reasons.

Bonus Bet: It takes till November for them to hit the ground.

I think that depends on if he's a African or a European raccoon Rad?

The flag is going to play an integral part of this I believe.

I'd be happier if we go with the cliche, but would still laugh if he went for the flag.
Either way, I'd be satisfied.

I am wondering if we're going to see him teaching rad to teabag the corpses of the aliens, as is the tradition of gunny's people.

He's a red panda, so he's Asian.

Glad your enjoying it because I lost interest awhile ago, I havn't read half the pages but I keep checking back to see if this arc has ended yet. The original idea and the first view pages were brilliant but unlike the MMORPG arc of 'Welcome to the NHK' I don't think this is realy going anywhere, and her original character is almost totaly forgotten.

Have to agree with that the arc is going on too long. I thought the comic had an interesting theme/premise, with mental illness, videogames and stuff...

but it's kind of forgotten now. I don't really see the purpose of it.
(maybe it's just how little is released each week. Maybe it's fine in a complete reread when it is done)
