Read through the article and...*sigh*...I just can't be arsed to care about at least 90% of those movies, despite having read each and every "why you should care" section. All the majority of those movies did was remind me of why I really fucking hate movies these days.

And yeah, I'll go ahead and call it right now: The Danish Girl is going to win the lion's share of awards this year based purely on it's subject material (if all the hub-bub this year over Bruce Jenner is anything to go by).

Says Mockingjay Pt1 is the worst Hunger Games film, posts a link to the Moviebob review that says it's the best. Heheh. Not that it matters, I just thought that was funny.

Well, there I was bitter and close minded about the crappy fare of terrible movies I was expecting when you actually listed some that I am looking forward to.

That makes me happier.

And hey, the hunger games movies will finally be over. So that's a plus. Especially since book three is just Katniss whining and being entirely token in her role. So it being done will be a plus and quite the symbol of a writer that starts off strong but doesn't know how to finish.

Well my 2 cents.

Sicario: I'm getting tired of the whole US War on Drugs between the Mexican/US border. Why not show the whole Mafia working with the Cartels to ship drugs in Europe?

The Green Inferno: Why does this movie look like I'm watching screenshots to Rambo 2008?

Stonewall: Meh.

The Walk: They better not make any reference to 9/11 in the end of the movie or the beginning.

Legend: A rental at best

The Martian: Ridley Scott has been hit and miss as of late. I thought Robin Hood was ok, have not seen Prometheus, and thought Exodus was stupid. This one looks like its trying to be Scott's answer to Intersteller.

Pan: That title is just dumb. I don't know it just feels unmemorable. And the fact that I remember the "Peter" in Peter Pan more than the other name.

Steve Jobs: Can we all just stop putting this guy on a pedestal I get it his iProducts is the gift to us Millennials (I really don't care for apple or Tablets and Smartphones) besides when will Bill Gates get his movie?

Bridge of Spies: On the one hand; Steven Speilberg, Coen Brothers, Tom Hanks, and a Cold War Era story count me in, but on the other it might be just American circlejerky propaganda showing the opposing Soviet side as biased as possible.

Crimson Peak: Oh no this movie is just fodder for the Loki fangirls.

Room: That sounds really, boring and in some ways too unbeliveable.

Burnt: A movie like that could if it had Martin Scorsese's direction.

Suffragette: Remember when Femenism was actually about geniunenly serious and important issues? Yeah I just hope this movie will show the Tumblr generation Femenist what women actually had to go through in the past.

The Peanuts Movie: I grew up watching re-runs of Charlie Brown but always found it rather mundane.

Spectre: I can't wait to her what's the next opening music. I do get the feeling they will use Adele again given how successful the Skyfall theme was.

By the Sea: Meh

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2: I have no idea why is this popular? YA stories are all so samey as of late. I can come up with a better YA story in my head right now.

Carol: For a women in her 20s she looks rather 40s.

Creed: I was more of a Raging Bull fan, but I gotta see myself some Rocky movies.

The Good Dinosaur: I feel this movie is going to be overshadowed by the hype and success of Inisde Out which is starting to become Pixar's Frozen (and I say that negatively)

The Night Before: Meh Gen X hipster Comedy Central style, "Comedy"

The Danish Girl: I wonder if they will show the sex change in full gory detail?

In the Heart of the Sea: I always had a fantasy of sailing on a Gallion.

Sisters: Zzzzzzz

Star Wars: The Force Awakens: I AM SCARED OF THIS MOVIE, I AM HORRIFYED OF THIS MOVIE, I AM SCARED IF IT WILL END UP BEING AS BAD OR WORSE THAN THE PHANTOM MENACE!!! IT WILL EVEN OVERSHADOW THE NEGATIVE OUTRAGE OF MASS EFFECT 3' ENDING!!!

I can say with confidence that Stonewall will be a disaster. The last time Emmerich did a "historical/passion project" movie we ended up with "Anonymous" which was one of the STUPIDEST films dealing with anything Shakespeare.

As for everything else, I'm keeping an eye on Bridge of Spies, Spectre, Peanuts, and Star Wars.

Only when Gates finally kicks the bucket.
I doubt his movie will be as popular as Jobs' films unless it vilifies Gates.
Something I find supremely ironic because Jobs was every bit the ruthless, hypocritical businessman as Gates.

(I'll spare my rant; just look up the Apple vs Xerox and Apple vs Microsoft lawsuits in the late 80s/early 90s. It's some eye-opening shit.)

I honestly think it can't be worse than The Phantom Menace.
At this point, even Disney must be aware of the epic online shitfest surrounding the prequel trilogy over the past decade.

(mostly after the Plinkett videos, but I will add that people were mocking the prequels years before RedLetterMedia.)

They're going to play things as safe as they can.
That doesn't mean I think it will be good, just not as bad as any of the prequels.

It's being headed by J.J. Abrams, a man whose work so far reaches the heights of "Well meaning and decent, but ultimately stupid and inoffensive". (Star Trek 09' was dumb fun. Into Darkness was more ambitious and had all sorts of good ideas but ultimately flopped in execution.)

The one bright point about The Farcical Rousing The Force Awakens is that Disney (supposedly) has several of the original Star Wars veterans who worked with Lucas (the ones absent from the prequels, who kept most of ol' Georgie's worst ideas out of the originals) working on the film.

It's my only hope for the film.

OH GOD MY BRAIN!
Why did you remind me of that pretentious fucking trainwreck of a film?!

Something that challenges Ancient Astronaut for stupidest conspiracy theory I've seen in the past 5 years.

They're making a The Martian movie? Oh shit.

I'm actually reading The Martian right now, and I'm almost finished. And what I'm seeing...does not fill me with hope. Damon as Watney? Fuck no. Fuck. No. Not that he's a bad actor, but he doesn't at all have the personality for it. They'd better not make it all gritty either, it's surprisingly light-hearted, mostly thanks to Watney (who, by the way, is a giant Mary Sue). And Ridley Scott really hasn't been all that good lately, so that doesn't exactly fill me with trust either. I'd describe the story more as a combination of Gravity and Robinson Crusoe, it doesn't really have much with Interstellar in common except that both are hard sci-fi.

It's funny, of all three Star Wars prequels, The Phantom Menace is still my 'favourite'.

Why? Mostly two reasons: least amount of green screen, and Kid Anakin is less bad than Emo Anakin. And yes that is considering Jar Jar Binks. Because even Jar Jar isn't as awful as the "I hate sand" conversation.

When I saw the title "Burnt" I immediately thought, "hey, it's a spy movie about an agent that has been burnt, but they now need to call on his skills and he's reluctantly involved"... and then I read what it really was... sigh.

I'm just not a classy movie guy I guess. Out of all of those movies, Pan, The Peanuts Movie, and Star Wars are the only ones I'm looking forward to. The Good Dinosaur possibly, as it is made by Pixar, but it hasn't caught my attention like other Pixar films do.

I would like to add that I'm also looking forward to Hotel Transylvania 2 next month.

The book The Martian is based on is really good. Many critics think it's one of the best "hard sci-fi" novels we've gotten in a decade or more. I hope they can pull it off.

this quote is my "why I don't give a shit" section. There are MAYBE a handful of movies in there that I remotely care about, and it's mostly down to a certain actor/actress being in it or something of that sort, maybe only 2 of them I'm geniunely going to see the first week...the other 90% look like complete yawn-fests.

Looks like video games are going to be sucking up the dollars this fall/winter -_-

Movies I would most likely watch in theaters
Pan
Crimson Peaks
The Peanuts Movie
Creed
The Good Dinosaur
In The Heart of the Sea
Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Movies I'll end up seeing "eventually", I guess
The Green Inferno
Stonewall
The Walk
Legend
The Martian
Bridge of Spies
Room
Suffragette
Spectre
Carol
The Night Before
The Danish Girl
Sisters

"Unlisted" movies I'll see somehow
Hotel Transylvania 2
Maze Runner: Scorch Trials
[Insert "unexpected" film release here]

Other than that, I'm speculating on which movies I see with whom, in terms of the theaters list... I'm thinking, at least, one of them might be seen on my own if it really came down to it, I think, just like with Straight Outta Compton... #NotForceAwakens
