Next Wave Of Amiibos Contains GIANT Yarn Yoshi

The latest batch of Nintendo's popular amiibo figures includes a giant-sized yarn Yoshi.

Fans of Nintendo's collectible content-unlocking Yoshi's Woolly World [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/tag/view/amiibo] amiibos but were dismayed that they weren't big enough to actually cuddle, Nintendo has gone ahead and granted your wish.

Check em all out below:

The Mii Fighter 3-pack will arrive on November 1, priced at $34.99, while Mewtwo will launch on November 13, and Falco will hit on November 20, both for $12.99. The gigantic cuddleable Mega Yarn Yoshi will launch on November 27, for the plus-sized price of $39.99.

Functionally, the Mega Yarn Yoshi will work exactly the same as the regular Yarn Yoshis, activating the "Double Yoshi" popwerup to use in any Yoshi's Wooly World stage. The Mii Fighters, Mewtwo and Falco will each have "Figure Player" functionality in Super Smash Bros. 4, and Falco is set to have some kind of yet unannounced functionality with the upcoming Star Fox Zero [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/tag/view/star%20fox%20zero?os=star+fox+zero].

I wish they can let us somehow custome those Amiboo Mii to resemble our Mii!

Also they better release those in higher quantity in the US!

cool, shame that the price gougers will make, say ... the Figma, or equivalent, figure a much better deal for those of us who just want a neat hunk of plastic for the shelf.

I want the ROB and Duck Hunt ones. A pity they'll be gone two seconds after they're made available.

There you go. Still available for preorder. I think GS is doing a "Order only what is needed" basis for the 3 pack.

Too bad noone will get them outside of scalpers.
Is there still a problem with amiibo stock in the US?

I thought you guys would have been fixed up well before Australia but here we have an over abundance of amiibo stock, scalpers are now just sitting on unsold amiibo because retail stores are almost overstocked. We've had several re-releases of previous waves, including splatoon and yarn yoshis (and wave 1/2), and the new waves aren't even worth pre-ordering because their availability is guaranteed.

I have noticed though that ol' reggie is dropping the ball with you guys, and I'm suffering some of it, because I imported my wii u from the states (to get the wind waker limited edition console which didn't come out here) I can only play imported games; the big problem I'm having at the moment is that the US is getting none of the cool stuff that EU, and even the often disregarded Australia, are getting.

Things like the Fatal Frame collector's edition, FF is a digital only title in the US. There has been no word on a US Xenoblade Chronicles X collector's edition but you can preorder it right now in EU/AU, and then there are things like the super delayed releases, especially on yoshi games, but on the reverse the US seems to be getting a shitload of 3DS stuff way earlier (and a bunch of stuff we aren't even getting at all).

Nintendo of America seem to have no respect for the Wii U, and they wonder why it isn't selling there, they should have learned from Sony and the PS Vita that if it's install base is low, you don't fix that by not putting anything on store shelves.

Yeah there's still an issue. You cannot go into a store and buy a Marth or Villager. Or even Donkey Kong.

And Reggie's reign isn't anything new. Op. Rainfall started because they refused to bring over Nintendo exclusive titles. And idiots lap up his stupidity because "hes the Regginator and his body is ready".
