New Fallout 4 "Educational Video" Series is Quite S.P.E.C.I.A.L.
Do you know what makes you S.P.E.C.I.A.L.?
Bethesda has published [http://bethesda.net/#en/events/game/fallout-4-special-video-series/2015/09/10/24] the first episode in a new series of seven "educational videos" for Fallout 4 aimed at teaching survivors of "atomic annihilation" how to rebuild, along with the seven special attributes - Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility and Luck - that make them S.P.E.C.I.A.L.
"Following total atomic annihilation, the rebuilding of this great nation of ours may fall to you," the video description reads. "That's why Vault-Tec has prepared this educational video series for you to better understand the seven defining attributes that make you S.P.E.C.I.A.L.!"
The first video captures the essence of cheesy 1950-1960 era informational cartoons, complete with cheesy narration, and focuses on the attribute of strength. The video doesn't include gameplay, but rather serves as a gory explanation of the game's features for newcomers as well as a clever suspense-builder leading up to Fallout 4's November 10 release.
In other Fallout 4 news, Bethesda recently announced [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/142330-Fallout-4-to-Have-Regular-Free-Updates-DLC-Season-Pass] that the game will feature "regular free updates," that "come with not just fixes, but new features," as well as a season pass for all future DLC.
Fallout 4 releases on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on November 10.
