Full Rock Band 4 Setlist Announced

All of the new songs coming with Rock Band 4 have now been revealed.

The official the final round of setlist reveals [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/tag/view/rock%20band%204?os=%20rock%20band%204], meaning that we now know the full setlist of new songs for the upcoming game. If you've been keeping up-to-date with all of the revealed songs, here are just the new ones that were revealed today:

Otherwise, you can head on over to the official Rock Band 4 website [http://www.rockband4.com/?utm_source=TWAmplified&utm_medium=Ayzenberg19-20&utm_campaign=TWOrganicAmp] to see the complete setlist. It's a pretty broad list of songs, containing old-school classics like Van Morrison's Brown Eyed Girl and new pop hits like Bruno Mars's Uptown Funk.

As a reminder, Harmonix has stated that Rock Band 4 will be well into the 100s [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/140018-Harmonixs-Rock-Band-4-Launching-In-2015-Will-Support-Past-DLC].

Rock Band 4 will release on October 6 this year.

Yeesh, if that's the finished set list, I'll probably wait to get this until a major price drop, if at all. Not a whole lot that I give a crap about, I'm sure that the DLC will eventually get there though.

If this game had a good soundtrack, I was considering buying the base game. But considering the on-disc songs contain like ten I care about and DLC is not cross-platform, this is probably getting a pass from me.

...The fuck is that list? It's just a bit shit really. Sure there's some good stuff ('Priest, Gary Clark Jr., Van Halen, motherfucking Lightning Bolt!), but mostly it's fairly shitty. Heart? Who is actually going to sit down and play Heart? And it's only got a Foos song from one of the shit albums. And... Uptown Funk? Yeah man, rock and roll.

Still, can't wait to see what my 13 year-old nephew makes of Lightning Bolt. Should be a laugh.

I'm glad I'm not the only person who thinks that set list is mostly garbage (Not the band. That would be better.)

I'm happy the DLC is available, and I'm sure Harmonix is banking on it.

Not a fan of the song list here but that's not at all surprising given the massive list of songs already available in the franchise history. What's more important to me is that the songs deliver unique challenges in terms of gameplay. That's what sold me on the music in the long run before. There were songs I didn't like that I grew to enjoy because playing them on drums was a blast.

DLC will include all of the DLC from the last gen. So over a thousand songs at launch.

Well, anything they haven't lost the rights to.

Granted, the number of songs that applies to is still relatively small.

*raises hand*

Well, I would if the soundtrack was worth a purchase.

As for the Foos, I'm surprised they have any songs left to put on the game.

I'm aware of that, but why would I possibly buy a new game if I'm just going to play the stuff I already own?

I didn't know how much you had or hadn't bought from the previous gen. So if you hadn't been actively buying songs all of the last generation of rock band DLC, there's literally hundreds of awesome songs you could have looked into.

But I can understand not buying it right away if the setlist isn't for you and you already have what you need. I'm personally a HUGE rock band fanboy and I won't be buying RB4 at launch either because the ION drum kit and real e-kits won't be supported at launch. And that's a dealbreaker for me.

This is a big deal for me personally. I haven't been able to play Rock Band for years because I rocked the peripherals to pieces. I'm going to get it so I can keep playing Rock Band.
