I have never played Madden, though that might have something to do with the fact that I live in the UK, and Fifa is the go-to sports game over here (only played Fifa 2010, as I got it for free with my replacement 360).

Never played Goat Simulator. Haven't even been tempted to try it out. It just looks like something that would be fun for a good 5 minutes.

Never played Harvest Moon. Hell, im not even sure what platform that is even on. (Note: Nintendo stuff, apparently)

I have played Mario Party, and I love that game with friends, but is a shame that I own a whole 0 Nintendo consoles. Best I can do is the Raynor Party mod for StarCraft 2.

I have played Bejeweled, because everyone in the world who has touched a platform capable of playing games has played Bejeweled or a Bejeweled-like game. Kinda fun, though I do find the match 3 game in Huniepop to be a little more fun. [small]not just because of the naked ladies, I promise[/small]

I have played Peggle, though, I never really saw the appeal of it. I hear that people go crazy for it, though.

I have honestly never actually played Farming/Truck/Train/Goat/Any simulator, ever. Well, aside from Surgeon, but that doesn't really count, right?

The Sims, oh, I remember you. Haven't touched 4, but I did play Sims 1 and the Sims 2(Xbox) pretty extensively. I did enjoy The Sims, but damn, do they go crazy for expansion packs. I mean, daaaaaaamn.

A lot of my guilty pleasures in games these days come from the old school DOS platformer games. Mostly looking at you Commander Keen. Right amount of challenge and blatant nostalgia bait ;)

Happy to admit loving Harvest Moon, even if it got repetitive after a while. The classic: Planting cucumbers shouldn't be fun! Good call including it!

I remember having some fun with goat simulator, but I can't recall ever replaying it more than once though. Once you've done pretty much everything to do, that's it really. Actually wait... *Reinstalls Goat Simulator*

We're mostly FIFA over in OZ as well (probably nowhere near as much as the brits though;)), my friends kept complaining about me making offensive fouls all the time... In game too.

I've only played two of those eight (Mario Party and Peggle), but not only will I admit to playing them but will unashamedly admit to loving them. The Mario Party games are still some of the best party games around and Peggle is just oddly cathartic.

As for the rest, mmm, I don't know. Barring maybe The Sims and Bejeweled, most people I know will proudly admit to playing the games on that list. Notably Goat Simulator.

Now, games like Hatoful Boyfriend and DOA: Extreme Beach Volley Ball on the other hand....

I have never played half of the games listed but most of them don't look like something I'd be embarassed to admit playing. In fact, I'd actually invite my friends over to play Mario Party if I had it.

Well maybe Peggle and the Sims, I did hide those from everyone, I have to admit. Not sure why, though.

I don't play any of those games. Not really sure why they are considered "guilty pleasures". They're just games.

Aside from maybe the Farm Simulator (never played it) none of the games on this list can really be counted as guilty pleasures. Not to me. I love the hell out of Peggle and Bejeweled because they make me think in multiple directions.

I also love Mario Party despite its penchant for destroying friendships. Sims? Well sometimes I feel guilty for tormenting my sims, but not for playing the game.

TBH, the only games I'd never admit to playing... Hello Kitty Island Adventure =P

...well I guess I have nothing to feel guilty about seeings how I never played any of those games.
(Edit: Actually that's not fair. I played the first Mario Party once, when it came out in the 90s. So over a decade ago)

Three of these I've not played. The rest I don't feel particularly "guilty" about playing. Harvest Moon, for example, is a legitimately great game series that I'd recommend to anyone and quite happily admit to playing. I own a few version of it.

I was expecting stuff like HuniePop (which I've not played) or maybe something that's really heavily kid-marketed like Pokemon (which I have and still do). Or even something like Project Diva F (I own both versions of it for PS3, great games). Or at the more extreme end of things Hatoful Boyfriend (which I've never played but I hear its a bit crazy). Things that might actually be a little embarrassing to be found playing.

Maybe because they could be considered casul or kiddie games?

OT: only ever played HM myself all the others don't interest me.

I think I've only ever been embarrassed by Japanese games, especially anything really loud or chibi or hyper sexualized.

Harvest Moon, I can see.
Maybe Peggle and bejeweled cozza fratboy type gamer "casual games ain't games" crap.
the rest? not so much.

Want Guilty Pleasure? Doa beach volleyball, Akiba's trip, onichanbara, Senran kagura. Stuff people might actually ***** at you over, be they anti-sexualizationals, or bullies that'd be all "That's girlfriend repellent!" and crap.

most of those games won't earn you that much ridicule.

Why are these guilty pleasures? What sort of person is feeling guilt about playing any of these perfectly okay games?

I used to be guilty in playing The Sims ... but it was mostly with the Sims 2 in particular because of mods.

Wanted an anime character from a show to look exactly like a sim? You now could.
Want an Xenomorph / famous monster with the cosmetics (tail, ect) to be a sim? That was possible.
Really fun having them live like normal people but look like their representatives.

Then Sims 3 happened and gave us mod fans the middle finger, and totally didn't try to make up for what made Sims 2 so popular.
I haven't touched a Sims game in ages man.
Almost exactly the same here. I really enjoyed all the mods for Sims 2. I haven't bothered with 3 because of the lack of modding support (although I still sometimes play the Sims 2 on my wife's steam account).

None of those are accurate for me. Either I don't play or don't enjoy them, or I have no problem 'admitting' that I play them, because I don't hide it.

I don't thinking liking any of those games is embarrassing or something I'd categorize as a guilty pleasure at all, the only game I've ever felt a bit embarrassed to play was Cherry Tree High Comedy Club because, it's a visual novel about making friends, like seriously it's not even about lesbians or anything, just about making friends, it's cute but for whatever reason I thought that was embarrassing so that's my pick.
