I'm surprised this isn't some form of DLC.

So it turns out this isn't really a secret after all. Not only will you see a marker on the map as mentioned, you will hear a voice calling to you if you're anywhere near the thing, and it contains fairly significant plot points. It's even factored into your stats and collectibles, from what I can tell. Oh, and at least three trophies are tied to it, two of which are not hidden.

This doesn't seem to meet the criteria for secret, hidden or extra. Still a neat piece of Creedception, but I feel kind of misled.
