Warcraft Movie Trailer to Debut Globally at Blizzcon

It looks like all of us regular plebs who didn't get to see the trailer at Comic Con will finally get a peek at the Warcraft movie.

We've heard quite a bit about Blizzard/Legendary's upcoming blurry Romanian leaked footage [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/tag/view/warcraft%20movie], we haven't actually seen that much of it. That will change this weekend at BlizzCon, when Blizzard will finally unveil the first official trailer at the movie for the whole world to see.

Thanks to the BlizzCon virtual ticket [https://us.battle.net/shop/en/product/blizzcon-virtual-ticket], even those of us who aren't lucky enough to physically attend BlizzCon will still be able to see the trailer, and i'm certain more than a few people will capture the footage and re-upload it to video sharing sites within the hour so even those without a ticket can still check it out.

So, tune in to the BlizzCon opening ceremony on November 6 if you wanna get a look at the movie!

Can't wait to see this trailer, if nothing else perhaps it will give a better idea of what the movie is all about. I'm actually a little excited for this, and that hasn't happened a lot in the last few years ( Legacy of the void releasing may have something to do with that ). I hope the movie is decent when it does release * fingers crossed*

I'm hoping that 2016 will be the year where videogame movies finally break out of the rut they've been in for the past two decades+, what with Warcraft, Assassin's Creed, Angry Birds, and Ratchet & Clank. Three of those properties have universes/stories ripe for the plucking, and I have to admit, Angry Birds still looks like fun.

Kudos to the poster at least. The grey actually reminds me of the Aquaman poster, how people complained how grey it was. But still, here, I like it. The red and blue not only harkens back to the overall Warcraft colour scheme (especially present in the RTS games), but it's interesting that the red on Durotan looks natural, whereas it's Lothar that's wearing bona fide war paint. The whole "we're not so different/we're all just people," or (which I doubt) a reference to Lothar being the last of the Arathi bloodline.

...I ever mention that I overanalyze a lot?

Even at its absolute best CGI looks like a cartoon.

But I do agree if they're going full Reboot, they need not have hired real people. A few motion-capture actors and voice actors would have worked fine. Save them 20mil on casting too.

I accept its a cartoon. But sometimes photo realistic CGI looks more pretty then real life imo

I'm actually excited for this film because of Duncan Jones writing/directing and the amazing cast they have. Clancy Mother Fucking Brown as Blackhand the Destroyer??? Bring that on NOW.

Personally i hope that if it sucks, it'll be in a way that still makes it enjoyable-to-watch.
If it won't though, that'll be greeeeaaaat.

Anything could happen. Anything including studio execs and the director butchering the lore because they have no concrete grasp on it, being outsiders.

I keep thinking this movie is on a precariously balanced fulcrum of sorts. Pitch one way and you end up with a reference-fest that's a feast for the eyes for the hardcore but an opaque morass for the rest of the moviegoing public. Pitch too far in the other direction and you have a generic fantasy movie with vague ties to its franchise. If they want to make a decent buck, they'll need to find the balance point.

With WoW's dwindling subscriber count, they need to sell the universe to potential new players.
