Always preffered Borderlands 1 for that stuff since the DLCs were generally superior and the core gameplay was slightly simpler and less bloated.Fiz_The_Toaster said:Borderlands 2 is just a fun co-op game.
Doesn't even matter that it's on the PC, it's just that good. It's stupid fun with other people and I've had great memories playing with people. Causing all sorts of shenanigans and killing things just for that sweet, sweet loot.
And I'm not just saying that before of the avatar either.
I'll agree with you about the DLC since I think BL1 was far superior in that department. In terms of overall story and gameplay, I'll have to go with BL2 since I had a blast. I think the loot drops and the leveling was much better in the sequel than in the first one. Even the balancing was better in BL2 since Lilith was stupid OP in Bl1, and I'm saying this as someone who played as her and leveled her as far as she can go in everything.vallorn said:Always preffered Borderlands 1 for that stuff since the DLCs were generally superior and the core gameplay was slightly simpler and less bloated.Fiz_The_Toaster said:Borderlands 2 is just a fun co-op game.

Also, because 4 Double Anarchy wielding Heavy Gunner Roland builds just trashed EVERYTHING with about 6.022*10^23 bullets.
I did a (platform agnostic) co-op list a month or two ago that had all those one there. Tried to find a few more unique ones to include.Vigormortis said:Why leave out games like Portal 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Terraria, Minecraft, Diablo 3, and Torchlight 2? They seem like obvious picks.
Or maybe that's why they were left out? Too obvious? Too "mainstream", perhaps? No, Borderlands 2 and Payday 2 are on there. Too old, maybe? Nah, some on the list are a half decade old.
Regardless, the list is full of co-op-y goodness. Monaco and Broforce, especially. I've yet to try Vermintide but it seems interesting enough.
It really is that good. It's a lot harder than L4D, which I attribute to the fact that it's a lot easier to take crippling amounts of damage in melee combat than when you're blowing the enemies away before they reach you. While you can kill from range in Vermintide, the bulk of your rat-massacring will be done up close and personal.vallorn said:Been really watching Vermintide like a hawk and it looks spectacular, an updated Left 4 Dead 2 style of gameplay in the Warhammer Fantasy (NOT AGE OF SIGMARINE!) with the loot progress system and ways of adjusting the difficulty within the level (Tomes and Grimoires) as well as stuff that heavily encourages exploration (Loot Dice). I do wish that the Gutter Runners would be nerfed slightly and they somehow implemented other specials from the Skaven like Jezzials or perhaps even a Grey Seer (Please let them shove Thanquol in) as a boss character or even a Plague Monk...
SUCH POSSIBILITIES!
I'll still be waiting on a Versus mode to be added though. I loved L4D, mostly 2 and the PvE co-op was fun but...limited, while especially the PvP co-op with friends continued to be amazing for hours and hours.ffronw said:It really is that good. The other specials (Gas Rat, Packmaster) are annoying too. If you get several specials at once, it can really ruin your day.
Fair 'nough. I think I missed that earlier list, so I understand the desire to vary this current list.ffronw said:I did a (platform agnostic) co-op list a month or two ago that had all those one there. Tried to find a few more unique ones to include.
I dunno...Left 4 Dead 2 can get pretty challenging in Expert Realism on certain campaigns. Even with skillful teammates the combinations of Common hordes, coordinated Special Infected attacks, and the occasional Tank can be overwhelming. It really is that good.
