Gamers Discover Invincibility Glitch in Star Wars Battlefront


Star Wars Battlefront glitch makes you immortal.

Star Wars Battlefront appears to have a glitch that results in random players becoming invincible for the duration of their match.

"Game glitched hard and I became invincible. A better player could have probably hit double figures, it's pretty clear I'm a beginner," YouTube user wrote Reddit user Inverted_Flat_Spin [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCL2rMlr7RGHNlTQTebhBmDw].

The glitch appears to be triggered randomly when respawning. The most common theory seems to be that the glitch applies after crashing a ship, although it's likely more complicated than that - I've crashed a bunch of times and haven't had it happen yet. Once the glitch has been triggered for a player they become completely immune to damage.

This is DICE we're talking about, they can caue an entire resonance cascade of bugs, by fixing a bug.

Frankly it's impressive Battlefront mostly works, although this is partially explained by there being so little of it to begin with.

I would like this to happen to me on Hero Hunt when I become the hero. That's the only thing left I need to "win" for the trophy, and man I just can't come close to it.

Of course, if I was one of the people trying to KILL me, I'd be completely annoyed, so perhaps not.

Well, after they become invincible, I can imagine someone on the opposing team going, "The Force is strong with this one."

Well this is probably going to drive the devs crazy if they attempt to hunt this bug down, because apparently they didn't even experience it in QA or Beta. So it's either to so with something they added, or it's something they entirely missed, and the fact that it triggers randomly... Well random triggers mean it's hard to replicate, that means that it's going to be nearly impossible to hunt down.

On a sillier note: I guess this is what Obi-Wan was trying to trigger with the advice: "Use the Force Luke."
