In my Silver Soul Nuzlocke challenge, I made my Eevee (which almost died in his very first grinding battle, when a rattata used Pursuit while changing Pokemon) evolve into Umbreon. High defense and special defense, and with healing moves. Not even gravelers' self-destructs were an issue (they were free EXP).
In other note, Pokemon X/Y made it ridiculously easy to have your eevolutions army by having wild eevees just after the second gym.

Tyrantar was one of my favourite in Gold and Heartgold. Also Alakazam and Dragonite was in my Red team. Arcanine was in my Firered team and Mudkip was in my Ruby and AlphaSapphire team
Like everybody else, I went and got Mew when it was announce and Eevee is cute, nuff said.

I found an Alakazam in the Safari Zone once. I threw a rock at it.
It died.
The funny thing is the same thing happened with Deoxys. Except I was in space, riding a mythical dragon type that transformed from a wish.
And it was a Pokeball. Seriously the thing is as frail as rice paper.
