I have wondered quite a bit what they were actually bringing to the genre and everything I saw just looked generic. I'll not hold my breath waiting for the next big MOBA, especially not from Epic.

I feel like every entry into this genre, even the promising ones, are just going to go up in a puff of smoke eventually. It's just that people pick one, then they invest a substantial amount of time into it, then there is little reason to anywhere else. No one wants to learn a whole new game balance and more importantly, the communities are problematic for new entrants at the very best.
