The Razer Turret Mouse and Lapboard Brings PC Gaming to the Couch

//cdn.themis-media.com/media/global/images/library/deriv/1313/1313892.jpgRazer has announced the Razer Turret - a wireless lapboard and mouse designed to use on your couch.

If you're one of the PC gamers who has moved their gaming to the living room couch, the newest Razer peripheral may be worth checking out. The Razer Turret is a wireless lapboard and mouse combo. It fits across your lap, resting on each leg, and offers up a stable surface for the included wireless mouse.

The keyboard features chiclet-style keys with anti-ghosting capability that allows 10 simultaneous key presses. It runs off a 1500 mAh lithium-polymer battery that Razer claims has a battery life of up to four months.

The mouse uses a 3500 DPI sensor and is powered by a 1000 mAh lithium-polymer battery that offers up to 40 hours of battery life for continuous use.

The peripheral features dual wireless connectivity, which means you can use it with the included 2.4 GHz wireless adapter, or through Bluetooth LE with a console or laptop.

You can check out all the info on the Razer Turret over on the official site [http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-controllers/razer-turret]. The Razer Turret is priced at $159.99, and is available for purchase now.

Or.... you could ahve done this by simply having a board of wood and any mouse/keyboard you wanted. Razer is turning into Apple, does something everyone else been doing for years, claims to have invented the thing.

I love Razer's designs just... I hate their technical issues. Like the Naga's double/triple click issue.
thats because razer production quality is shit. they make things as cheap as possible from the cheapest producer they can find. they even made their own cheap knock-off tactile keys because they considered Cherry too expensive. Razer is the cheapscate of computer perepherals.

Ah I didn't know that. I have the first generation blackwidow ultimate that uses Cherry MX blues. And the first generation Naga that has an issue with the bar that presses the switch to actuate the click, where it wears unevenly and eventually causes double and triple clicks.

Uhh this is kinda nifty I guess. I dunno. I don't really have any interest in using a mouse and keyboard on a couch. If I'm choosing to sit on the couch to play a game it's exclusively a title I want to play with a controller. If keyboard/mouse is my chosen input method I'd rather sit at my desk than have this contraption resting on my lap with crappy chicklet keys.
