New Hard Reset Redux Trailer Features 15 Minutes of Gameplay, Reveals Release Date

Hard Rest Redux is headed to Steam in June, and you can see 15 minutes of gameplay in this new video.

It's been almost five years since Flying Wild Hog released Hard Reset. The cyberpunky first-person shooter was very reminiscent of the 90s, and now they're set to release an updated and expanded version titled Hard Reset Redux.

Hard Reset Redux not only moves the game to the newest version of the RoadHog engine - which means better visual effects and lighting - it also adds content as well. You can see a cyber-katana and a dash move, both of which might be inspired by another game Flying Wild Hog is working on: Shadow Warrior 2. You can also expect quick saving, rebalanced gameplay and difficulty levels, additional content, and support for gamepads as well.

We know that Hard Reset Redux will be available on Steam on June 3, but there's no word yet on what it might cost. We're sure to find out soon, but until then, enjoy the gameplay video above.

has been a while since i have played it. was a good shooter which was pretty much like painkiller but with robots. not sure if i will get the redux version since i havent played the original for all these years. i didnt even bother to get metro last light redux because it wasnt even that long after the release of the original.

I can't count how many times I died in that game. For some reason I found it to be very hard. Maybe it was because I lost the edge playing all those dumbed down shooters for years prior to Hard Reset. I'll be sure to check out this updated version.

i know what you mean. they do take some damage but you also had to keep moving as well which wasnt always easy. i had my fair share of deaths as well but maybe because i played on medium, as i do with most games.
