Central Intelligence - Little Hart, Big Johnson, Odd Couple

Central Intelligence works best when it focuses on its two leads. When it tries to do other things? It's not very good.

I'm kinda in the mood for a cheesy comedy. I'm probably gonna see it. Kevin Hart movies are always cheesy, and Dwayne Johnson is good and fun in my opinion.

I just wanna say that Aaron Paul is, post-Breaking Bad, absolutely showing how much the rest of the talent in that show propped up his otherwise mediocre acting abilities. Holy fuck.

Mhm. Might pick this movie up when it's out on DVD.

Sounds like the rare case of a comedy (that's not british) that I can enjoy.

I was sold on the duo, alone... So, I won't mind any sort of flaws this movie may or may not have... It's almost the reason why I enjoyed the movie Vacation when I watched it alone...

Other than that, maybe this will be a springboard for another Johnson/Hart duo movie!

Apparently both of them are doing the Jumanji remake. So, uh, yeah. That's really too bad.

Okay, I have to ask this...how is the upcoming Jumanji film a remake per se? Considering that the original Jumanji was an adaptation of a children's novel, wouldn't that, by the same logic, make the Jackson Lord of the Rings films a remake of Bashki's?

I can appreciate the argument of calling the recent Jungle Book film a remake, because it's specifically seeking to emulate elements of the original Disney film. But again, by the same analogy, wouldn't Serkis's upcoming Jungle Book movie also be considered a remake?

It's the same thing that bugs me about people criticizing the Neverending Story "remake," despite the original film being adapted from a book, and only adapting about half of said book.

I think I read when it comes to Jumanji that it's a "re-imagining" of the 1995 movie, not a second adaptation of the novel. The movie's the base on which they're building, not the book. Jackson's LOTR was adapting the novels directly.
