Trading, More Pokemon, Coming to Pokemon GO

Niantic has confirmed that post-Gen I Pokemon will be added to Pokemon GO in a future update.

If you've been enjoing Pokemon GO [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/tag/view/pokemon%20go?os=pokemon+go], but have noticed it is lacking some of the features of the main series games, you'll be pleased to know that Niantic has confirmed at at Comic Con 2016 that future updates to the game will bring the much requested trading feature, and additional Pokemon past the "Gen I" 151.

New Pokemon are still a while away, and while trading is a feature that is currently being worked on, it's not a super high priority at the moment, as Niantic is working their butts off just to keep the servers up.

"I'm sorry, I don't have a date for you [for trading,]" Niantic's John Hanke said. "We're working really hard to keep the servers up and running... It's at the top of our priority list."

Additionally, "Pokemon Centers," and PokeStop customization are also things the developer is working on. Hanke said that PokeStop customization would allow players to build up an area and use items to change PokeStop functionality.

Now all we need is a small revamp of the battle system (1 second cooldown on the basic attack to make it less spammy and I'm good), trainer battles and the possibility to level your Pokemon a bit through battling. If they do that I'd play this game a metric fuckton more often.

How about fixing bugs? Discos, freezes, 3step, more freezes. I tried to enjoy PG but being bugged out the game every few minutes just to get stuck with reconnecting (try again later) killed it for me for now.

It seems more stable, now. That being said, it has this annoying tendency when I have Battery Saver on to come back up from the darkened screen and not register any input. That is really annoying as I have to restart the whole thing.

Also, sometimes the nearest Pokemon Map doesn't show Pokemon. Over the weekend, I went to a park with friends and there were dozens of people there catching Pokemon. Constantly other people would see a rare Pokemon nearby, but we wouldn't so we'd end up following the crowd hoping to find the Pokemon.

The only thing I want is for the game to track my travel distance without having to be active, would save some battery.

The ingame tracking system kinda sucks anyway, better to use Pokevision.com
