//cdn.themis-media.com/media/global/images/library/deriv/1359/1359692.jpgIf you're looking to grab some new and retro games cheaper than usual, the GOG Monstrous Fall Sale has begun.

GOG.com has kicked off its annual fall sale, and it's full of deals on games new and old alike. If you've participated in previous GOG sales, this one will look familiar. Purchasing games earns you XP, as do a variety of other things [https://www.gog.com/my_promo_status]. Earn enough XP, and you'll unlock free games.

The sale includes plenty of deals worth mentioning, chief among them The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's Game of the Year Edition, which includes all the expansions and DLC, for just $29.99. Also of interest is the updated version of Master of Orion [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/168306-] at $17.99 and plenty of options to build your own bundle of games. You can even grab Little Big Adventure 2 for free just by showing up.

The GOG community will also be joining together to play Stardew Valley on Twitch this weekend, and for every objective completed during the sure top be chaotic stream, all GOG users will earn 300 XP in the sale.

The Monstrous Fall Sale runs through November 13. You can find all the deals over at GOG.com [https://www.gog.com/].

I have to say I really like the way GoG does sales recently. I find the experience system to be a much better "minigame"-system than whatever the stuff valve does. I have to say I never really got into those weird minigames valve puts into their sales.
Sure, I get that this is also just a system designed to make you spent more money through gamification, but it's fun all the same.
Additionally it got me to look a bit more closely at the game that were to sale and made me pick up some real gems of gaming that I would have otherwise never bought.

Oh GOG, why are you so awesome?

Too bad I've already purchased most of the games I wanted in previous sales. But hey, free games are certainly nothing to sneeze at.

Everyone should at least get that 5000 exp for Expeditions: Conquistador. It's a great game made by the writer for the equally great "The Nameless Mod" for Deus Ex. I'm guessing they wanted the publicity and new players because their coming out with the Sequel for Expeditions soon.
