League of Legends Adds the Practice Tool to Help You Hone Your Skills

If you've always thought your League of Legends game needed work, there's a new Practice Tool just for you.

Last month, Riot Games announced that it was planning to bring a Practice Tool to League of Legends. The tool gives players the ability to jump into a single-player environment where you can control almost everything. Riot said in a blog post [http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/game-updates/features/practice-purpose] last month that it focused on five particular areas for practice:

Champion mechanics and combos
Jungle practice
Endless last hitting
Item build DPS checks
Map familiarity (ward placement, wall flashes, etc)

You'll have total control over what happens in practice mode, from auto heals, replenishing mana, changing your level, teleporting to your target, and much more.

All you need to do to start checking out the Practice Tool is to make sure your client is fully updated, then jump right in. You'll find the tool listed under "Training." There's plenty more information over on the League of Legends website [http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/game-updates/features/practice-purpose].

Wasn't this something that a few years ago Riot said would never happen? This looks like exactly what the "sandbox" mode that people wanted would have been, except that Riot shot it down at the time. I realize that everyone is welcome to change their mind, and I'm glad to see it finally come about, but honestly, I'm at the point where most of the new things that are nice that Riot is doing just feels too little too late for me to care about the game.
