Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Multiplayer DLC to Offer 30-Day Free Trial Starting Next Week on PC

//cdn.themis-media.com/media/global/images/library/deriv/1408/1408204.jpgIf you've wondered what the multiplayer in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is like, you can try it for free on PC for a month starting next week.

Activision has announced that it will be offering a 30-day free trial of the four multiplayer DLCs for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 starting next week. That means that if you've been playing Black Ops 3, but you never picked up the DLCs, you can try them out for a month without spending a cent.

The free trial kicks off on Tuesday, May 30 at 1 PM ET. You'll get access to all four of the multiplayer DLC packs, and Activision plans to add all the multiplayer to all of the playlists.

But if you already bought the DLC or the Season Pass, there's an even nicer offer for you. If you own the DLC that you're playing, you'll get double XP for the duration of the free trial. If you own the Season Pass, you'll get double XP on all multiplayer maps as long as the free trial is running.

The free trial will be automatically added to your account if you own the game, and will automatically download. If you aren't interested in the free trial, there are instructions on how to opt out here [http://steamcommunity.com/games/311210/announcements/detail/1263669329109260630].

Certainly on PC! I mean, look at it: There are only about 2k players in IW now. BO3 can't keep up with it's 8k players in any way. No, sir, never.

In seriousness, I like the move even if it may be a bit late. On the one hand, people without the Season Pass can try out what they're getting if they buy it. And those that do have the Season Pass have an easier time playing the DLC Maps and get more EXP on top of that. Some may then buy the Season Pass, even and other players may come back to BO3 on PC just to try these out. Or for the hell of it.
Depending how successful that event is, it may cause someone to consider a toned down version of the whole shebang to be permanent (namely, one of the four mappacks is available to play each month in a rotation). I am very optimistic with that idea, but it still makes somewhat sense from a business standpoint so I am not going to fully dismiss it as possibility.

Honestly, I gonna give it a try then. And with the Summer Sale starting around the same time and Zombies Chronicles probably getting released mid-way through, it may liven up the PC population somewhat.
