First DirectX 10 Game Relands on PCs

More than five months after the initial launch of DirectX 10 video hardware, a full game with DirectX 10 support is finally available on the market - sort of.

Relic Entertainment, the developers behind last year's hit real-time strategy title, Company of Heroes, have released a DX 10 patch [http://relicnews.com/archives/2007/05/directx-10-patch-for-coh/] for the game, which initially launched with DX 9 features.

The patch touts several enhancements for DX 10 users - which means Vista owners, only - including softened particles, additional in-game objects, better anti-aliasing, shadow-casting point lights and more.
