eBizMBA Lists Top Gaming Sites

Digital research firm eBizMBA charts the leading gaming websites.

eBizMBA, a technology consulting and statistics company, recently released a report [http://www.ebizmba.com/articles/video-games.html] ranking the top 25 videogame sites based on incoming links, monthly visitors, Alexa rank and Google's PageRank.

IGN, a property of News Corp., earned the number one position with nearly 7 million monthly visitors, a number that dwarfs runner-up GameSpot's 4.7 million. However, 28 million inbound links to GameSpot pages doubled IGN's.

Strategy Informer is tied with CVG? And Gamesradar beats 1UP?

I'm really shocked to see Joystiq so low and UGO so high.

What surprised me the most were the GameFAQs and GameSpy positions. Looking at the stats in the article, GameFAQs clobbers GameSpy in nearly every category, and is only slightly edged out in the number of incoming links. So why GameFAQs isn't third is still beyond me.
