Telcogames joins Viva La Mobile in handheld multiplayer party.
Mobile games publisher Telcogames has purchased Viva La Mobile, a real-time multiplayer games developer for mobile devices. Viva La Mobile's proprietary Redstar multiplayer platform for handheld devices used by various worldwide carriers cumulatively control over 1.4 million purchased multiplayer game sessions. This September, Orange Israel will be launching the first batch of Viva La Mobile titles under the Telcogames umbrella. Those games will include Super Puzzle Bobble from Taito and Viva's original Badlands title.
Jamie Conyngham, Telcogames's Chief Executive Officer, said, "The Viva acquisition allows us to continue offering our clients the latest advances in mobile games. Gamers in many European countries have yet to see branded real-time multiplayer games such as Taito's Super Puzzle Bobble and we intend to change to make this part of our offering to our global distribution base".
"Telcogames global distribution will allow us to get people playing our games around the world and to enjoy the great experiences we have built into our games. We will also be able to take our technology to the next stage with the full backing of Telcogames, a global player," added David Kainer, Managing Director at Viva La Mobile.
