Research Triangle Park Holds First Videogame Tech Showcase And Career Fair


North Carolina's Research Triangle Park [http://www.rtp.org/main/index.php] is holding its first Videogame Technology Showcase and Career Fair this November 17.

Driven by unprecedented collaboration between the region's acclaimed universities and private sector industry, Research Triangle Park's videogame sector is experiencing significant levels of growth. The Triangle is now home to some of the top videogame companies in the world, an industry valued at $38 billion.

The Research Triangle Park is the largest research park in the world, occupying 7,000 acres near Durham, Raleigh and Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Established in 1959, the Park is currently home to over 150 organizations with 39,000 employees, including the one of the largest IBM [http://www.ibm.com/]operations in the world.

More than a dozen of these companies are now coming together for the first time to offer a look at the new technologies behind the explosive growth of digital entertainment worldwide as they seek to fill over 100 positions in their technical, marketing and sales departments.
