Super Smash Bros. Brawl Perfect But Delayed

Famitsu [http://www.nintendo.com], but unfortunately will also be delayed.

Originally slated for a North American release of February 10, a message posted on the Smash Bros. Dojo [http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/index.html] by creator Masahiro Sakuri now says the game has been pushed back until March 9. According to an MCV report, the game is now targeted for a February 10 release in Japan.

"Due to delays in the completion of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, we've had to changed the release date of the game to Sunday, March 9th," the message on the Smash Bros. website reads. "I deeply apologize to the people who have looked forward to playing the game for so long and ask that you hold on just a little longer. Thank you for your patience." Reasons for the delay were not given.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl is only the seventh game in Famitsu history to achieve a perfect review score. Other games that have accomplished the feat are Final Fantasy XI [http://www.zelda.com/gcn/].

If this game lives up to the expectations everyone has, the delays will be easily overlooked in my opinion. The fact that Famitsu has already given it a perfect score (and even though review scores seem to be easily questionable these days, their track record for games with perfect scores seems to speak for itself) further confirms my belief that this game will live up to my own personal expectations.

I think this is my most hotly anticipated game since Portal. And we all know how that turned out. :D
