Deadline Games Announces New Shooter

Denmark-based Faith and a .45 [http://www.deadlinegames.com], a gritty new shooter in development for next-gen consoles.

Faith and a .45 will tell the story of Luke and Ruby, two outlaw lovers facing off against the forces of a ruthless and corrupt oilman who's out for their blood. Set in the Great Depression [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_depression], the game will be an intense and atmospheric cross-country epic featuring guns, steel-plated vehicles and armor-clad pyromaniacs.

"Since we at Deadline have our roots in movie production, we value original stores, settings and characters very highly," said Deadline Games CEO Chris Mottes. "Our previous games are testaments to this, but we believe Faith is going to take our creative might to a whole new level."

Deadline Games was founded in 1996 as a film, television and interactive entertainment production company. While based in Copenhagen, the company accommodates international game development by working entirely in English. Its previous efforts include the third-person shooter Chili Con Carnage [http://www.totaloverdose.com/], a Total Overdose "spin-off."

Faith and a .45 will make its debut at this year's www.deadlinegames.com [http://www.gdconf.com/].

Cool, I look forward to seeing how this turns out. Total Overdose was a real diamond in the rough.

So it's not going to be sold at Gamestop?

Anyway, this does sound like a truly original game.

The chick looks hawt. If I play the guy who keeps an eye on her bu- her six, that's cool. Next gen makes better ... err... graphics.
I hope it will be very moody, and with some good character development.
