Xbox 360 Gets Boost in Europe After Price Cuts
Microsoft's Xbox 360 price cuts in Europe resulted in a 40 percent sales boost over the weekend, according to Chart-Track.
The measurement was over a very small period, from when the price cut was implemented on Friday to midnight Saturday.
"Now it's a question of Easter," said Chart-Track Director Dorian Bloch. "The real litmus test will be over the next three to four weeks - it's too early to read too much into it at this stage."
Whether the good news holds for Microsoft is crucial as Sony prepares bundles for Gran Turismo 5: Prologue Edition and, for June, Metal Gear Solid 4.
