Sega Racing Studio Closed Down

Sega Racing Studio [http://racing.sega.co.uk/] has reportedly been closed down, according to a former employee of the developer.

The closure has been reported by PlayStation 3 [http://www.developmag.com/news/29598/Sega-Racing-Studio-shuts-its-doors]and PC that came out in September 2007 to decent review scores but only mediocre sales.

Sega [http://www.sega.com]has not yet commented on the reasons for the closure, or whether employees at the studio are being released or have been given the chance to move to one of Sega's other U.K. studios. More information is expected to be released soon.

I can't believe this! Sega Rally Revo is the only new game in the last 6-12 months I've thoroughly enjoyed. Why is it all these idiots go out and buy mediocre FPS and RPG games and don't check out the games that deserve appreciation?

Probably the competition in that space. Forza 2, PGR4, etc. Racing games can only handle so many titles at one time.
