Turok Live-Action Movie In the Works
Good news for people who can't get enough of that old (new) MTV Movies Blog [http://www.turok.com/] has revealed a live-action movie based on everyone's favorite dinosaur hunter is in the works.
Law and Order: SVU [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turok]. "We just finished the animated movie and now we're going into the feature film movie hopefully in a couple years. We're about to set up meetings to develop a script and put it out there," Beach said. "I'll have to beef up, and be a good guy, and save the world!"
The "animated movie" is PlayStation 3 [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0968765/]and PC.
Beach called the possibility of playing a Native American superhero a "dream," adding, "He's the first Native American superhero that I ever looked up to. He basically [comes from] a family where they're protecting our universe from an alternate universe that wants to take it over. He uses his wits, and his might, and his special bow and arrow to take over the world."
Turok: Dinosaur Hunter [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turok:_Dinosaur_Hunter] first appeared in 1997 on the Nintendo 64 and PC, and the series has since crossed the screens of the Nintendo Game Boy, GameCube, PlayStation 2 and Xbox. The newest Turok game "reboots" the franchise, and aside from the name and the presence of dinosaurs has nothing to do with the previous games or comic books.
