Uwe Boll Wins Lifetime Achievement Award

Everyone's favorite movie director In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0093051/].

Boll is being "honored" by the Postal [http://www.razzies.com/].

Boll's selection for the award reflects not only his skill as a movie director but also his penchant for overexcited, profane and sometimes violent responses to his critics [http://blog.wired.com/games/2007/08/you-dumb-fck-uw.html]. Putting Boll over the top, according to the Razzies website, was the 2007 "videogame-based fiasco In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale, which grossed under $5 million on a $60 million budget."

Making the award particularly noteworthy is the fact that it will be the first one handed out in Jaws 4 [http://www.razzies.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=1223&PN=1]. "It's a great honor for me to get the same prize the rubber shark from Jaws got," Boll said.

But the award doesn't signify that we've seen the end of Boll and his movies; the prolific director has numerous projects on the go, including game-based movies like Zombie Massacre [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0913951/]. Despite all he's accomplished so far, the worst, no doubt, is yet to come.

*claps and cheers*

Well earned Herr Boll! Looking forward to his next series of atrocities.

It's good to have someone to love to hate.

Why couldn't 2008, the year of dead celebs, have claimed this guy? Well, here's hoping for 2009...
Good question. Last year we lost great people like Heath Ledger, Bernie Mac and George Carlin, but people like Boll and Rosie O'Donnel are still alive? Where's the justice?

Am I the only one who loved the House of the Dead movie? Not because it was good, but because it was so bad it was actually entertaining.
It's also good to watch when drunk.

Kyeah!

I quite like this Boll character, as a jester at least. Anyone remember when he boxed Lowtax from Something Awful?

LMAO, Herr Boll? Sounds like something my cat has.
Your cat has a Herr (which is german for "sir" or "mister" if you don't know it)?

I'm looking forward to more terrible movies Dr. Boll. I hope I'll laugh a lot.

Just wondering. Did that online petition in order to stop Uwe Boll ever collect enough signatures? He did agree to stop making films if enough signatures were gathered...oh, well. Here's hoping he has a brilliant stroke of common sense and stops aggravating the entire gaming community.

I was entertained by the house of the dead movie but it was still pretty bad. I actually liked alone in the dark and more people probably would have liked it if he named it something else like...Nyctophobia. I know not a good name either but at least it wouldn't piss off gamers.

In the back. Just below the ribs. Oh, wait. That's murder. I meant, In the river. Drowned. After she was stabbed in the back just below the ribs.

On a different note entirely, He deserved it. Sure, I would give him a hundred to go out of film making, but am I the only one who doesn't want the fellow to die? And believes that there's some good in him?

The third antichrist finally gets some recognition, well deserved recognition may I add.

I posted this on another thread but I have a long running theory that Uwe Boll is the third antichrist predicted by Nostradamus.
