Write A Story, Become The Lich King

Win the Blizzard fiction competition, and you could win Frostmourne.

Ok, so maybe it's not the real Frostmourne, but it's a damn fine looking replica [http://www.epicweapons.com/products/frostmourne/ ] and it'll be presented to you at the Blizzard headquarters in California.

All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning your very own ancient runeblade is write a short story of between 3,000 to 10,000 words, set in the worlds of Warcraft, Diablo or Starcraft. As well as the main prize, seven runners up will receive signed copies of all of the Warcraft, Diablo and Starcraft novels.

um, guys i have seen it, i think it awesome too , but are u thinking about these things: 1. 3000 words is atleast 10 pages ye know? 2. think about the very slim chance of it being u winning, as there will probably be millions of contestants. 3. if u were faster (not for insulting) there was a sale of them around summer 2008, were u could buy latex versions (looks perfectly like the other versions) for about 50-60$, and limited edition unsharp steel versions for 200$.

sorry if i sound insulting or negative, but it isnt first time u could get the swords.

Nope. It's an international competition, y'know, like I mentioned in the article.

I can just imagine it now. Bunch of chavs come up to me and one of them starts waving a knife in my face. I would say... u think thats a knife. THIS is a knife! And pull that out from somewhere (like a scabbard on my back) and say, no, this is a knife.
After that they wud probably mug me and steal the sword anyways, but it would still be awesome :/

Nope. It's an international competition, y'know, like I mentioned in the article.

I know, I got a bit ahead of myself but I did realise my folly quickly.

So...many, potentially horrible ideas flooding into my head. Going to be hard picking out a good one.

I'm not sure if any of the prizes is what I want the most. But just being a competition I am able to participate in is enough =D

I'll write a damn fine story. After all. I've got all the time in the world ("Time, mister Freeman?" "All the effort in the world would be lost ..." Can't remember the last -.-). I mean. I'm on a vessel. With nothing else to do on my sparetime than playing games. Sure I can be without playing games as long as it involves trying to get something like this =D

Count me in. I'll see you all on the finish line! Whenever I get there. be kind and spare some soda for me, would you? I'm not sure how far behind I'll be.
