The Curtain Call Of Cthulu

Those who have played Dark Corners Of The Earth [http://callofcthulhu.com/] will know all about a shadowy town called Innsmouth and of the horrors that await therein. What better way to explain it than with musical theater?

In reverence of the wonderfully dark stories, the H. P. Lovecraft Historical Society [http://www.cthulhulives.org/whatisitintro.html] created its anti-Christmas album A Very Scary Solstice, with such tunes as It's That Most Horrible Time of the Year [http://www.cthulhulives.org/Solstice/mp3s/horriblesample.mp3],The Carol of the Olde Ones [http://www.cthulhulives.org/solsticecarol.html] and this little number.

Three years on, and George Taylor [http://ochreogre.com/] helps to add a little "Fred Astaire" charm, and a lot of CGI, to this anti-carol based on the book "The Shadow Over Innsmouth" [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Shadow_Over_Innsmouth].

February isn't exactly the traditional time for Christmas carols, but the video is quite well done and very funny, so it's well worth a watch.

I think Carol of the Old ones is the best of those songs.

Theres another one that isn't on that CD, Hey There Cthulhu. That one is very good as well.

Plus, you can have it as a <a href='http://www.cthulhulives.org/toybox/Phone/index.html' target=_blank>ringtone.

Related, but not by the same group: <a href='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxScTbIUvoA' target=_blank>Hey There Cthulhu

Enjoy your tidings of madness and woe.
