HD Tetris: The Ultimate Falling Block Game

Does average, every-day Alexey Pajitnov [http://www.tetris.com/].

What can really be said about a remake of one of the most addictive videogames of all time that manages, with a single, simple trick, to suck out all the fun and turn it into a chore that would try the patience of the most dedicated Chinese gold farmer? There have been a lot of Tetris-inspired games since the original was released by Russian computer engineer Pajitnov in 1985, some good and some bad, but none quite like this.

One imaginative gamer named Anne grew tired of the game and decided to let it run on its own for awhile. The result? Days of unattended Tetris and some intriguing coral-like patterns of color [http://ohdave.com/tetris/].

I couldn't be bothered to finish a single line myself, so if you can form even one line you'll have me beat. Post your screens and claim your prize!

The only word I can concieve of is 'wow'.

Then again, I must be a pyro with how swiftly I wanted to just annihilate the damn rows...

The saddest thing is that somebody is bound to get a high score at this... think of the boredom.

I will work on a masterpiece. Is there a code that you can give me to control the colors? Or turn up the speed?

I got bored after 3 pieces, which is odd considering I'm addicted to facebook tetris...

Meh, the hell with it, I give up, you need a magnifying glass to see what you're doing. I used to think that the guide that some tetris games provided was cheating but this is one tetris game that needs that guide, it's hard to get the pieces where you want them and the control is so sluggish it's not funny.

I made half a line and then I made a mistake and then I failed to "shove one in" to "meld the hole" and the result being that I my first line couldn't be completed without crating TWO FREKKIN LINES so I gave up...

Space bar accelerates the pieces, but you'd have to hold it down. If you hit the "key" button, the speed-up button becomes up and down and spin is the space bar.

I love that the site is sovietrussia.com as in "In soviet russia, tetris plays you!"
