Papercraft Wing Commander: Build Your Own Fleet

Wing Commander [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wing_Commander_(franchise)]. Arts and crafts. If that doesn't sound like a match made in Heaven to you, you need to look at Paper Commander, a site that offers detailed plans for creating all the coolest ships of the entire Wing Commander franchise.

The site features models from throughout the Wing Commander franchise including Wing Commander Combat Information Center [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wing_Commander:_Armada]. Plans come in either Adobe .PDF or a proprietary Pepakura Designer format and links to the necessary viewing software are included.

The site is a bit heavy on the Engrish but not indecipherably so and the cool factor of these plans, particularly for old-time space jockeys, is more than worth a bit of a linguistic struggle. Absolutely fantastic. Wing Commander was one of my most beloved games in my teens.

That's pretty awesome, they should work on a to scale version of the Tiger's Claw next.

I was disappointed by the absence of the Tiger's Claw. A version to scale with these fighters would be utterly epic.

I think my favourite is the Dralthi. Probably because it's the iconic Kilrathi ship from the original WC box cover, but I've always loved the design. (Hence the choice of picture.) Terran fighters are so ugly in comparison.
