PS3 Marvel vs Capcom 2 Retail Release Confirmed
The rumored retail re-release of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for the PS3 is a rumor no longer.
Xbox 360 owners may have gotten their hands on the re-release of beloved Capcom fighter Marvel vs. Capcom 2 at the end of July, but PS3 owners have had to wait a little bit longer - the game won't be available on PSN until Thursday, August 13th. In exchange for the wait, however, the PS3 release will actually have a retail version [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/93229-Marvel-vs-Capcom-2-Comes-to-PSN-Two-Weeks-Behind-XBLA] as rumored ... sort of.
Pictures of the PS3 box were posted on the One poster in particular [http://www.capcom-unity.com/marvelvscapcom/go/thread/view/55141/18684839/PS3_MvC2_Retail_Release__Looks_Like_Its_Official?num=10&pg=1] confirmed the contents of the case:
[blockquote]* Redemption Code for full game
* DVD case with sleeve
* 8 page color manual with artwork and moves list
* 1 month free subscription to Marvel Digital Comics ($9.99 value)
* 2000 Capcom-Unity points - can be used for prizing [sic] and auctions[/blockquote]
Unfortunately, it looks like the CD with exclusive artwork and wallpapers isn't included in the package as the original rumors indicated. Still, that seems like a pretty good deal for $15, no?
