Ad of the Week: Protect Your Chicken From Dokken

The dull, gray Norton Internet Security package isn't likely to generate too much excitement in anyone these days, but toss Dokken and some uncooked poultry into the mix and suddenly you've got one of the best advertisements to come along since the Night Elf Mohawk [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqJE5TH5jhc&feature=video_response].

You probably don't use Norton Internet Security and you probably don't listen to Dokken [http://www.dokken.net/]. But that's okay, because if Norton is a chicken and Dokken is a computer virus, then it's not really relevant. The important thing to remember is this: Dokken does not like chicken and will blow up your computer if you're not careful.

That may not actually be the point, but that doesn't matter either. What matters is that ads [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mhp2XThT48] for Norton Internet Security 2010 are rockin' with Dokken! And chicken. Would you like to allow Dokken to have its way with your chicken?

That was quite an abstract way of saying protect yourself with Norton. I like it.

Doesn't change the fact that Norton is pretty mediocre for an anti virus program though.

Did.... did they just pelvic thrust the chicken to its death? I'm so very confused but oddly content.

Holy crap, Dokken! =D I love them! Especially their title track for the soundtrack of Nightmare on Elm Street 3; DREAM WARRIORS!

I would still never buy Norton, but I would certainly remember that ad if I was so inclined to be standing in an aisle looking to buy some anti-virus software.

McAfee.

What? It's pretty good.

Edit: Never mind. Someone beat me to the punch.

That's fucking hilarious. They pelvic thrust the chicken into nonexistance.

Dokken just gained about 30 metal points.

It seems like more ads are taking the Adult Swim view to advertising and just doing something cool that happens to include their product.

The Time Warner ad that looks like a AS Bump, but with purple for the background is the most obvious one. I like it, though.
