Gearbox Creative Director Caught in Borderlands Twitter Promise

Borderlands [http://www.gearboxsoftware.com/] and now he's suffering for it.

It was a simple enough offer. In a Kotaku [http://twitter.com/mikeyface/status/4421918870] posted news of his promise.

"OMFG Kotaku did not just do that to me," Neumann writing later [http://twitter.com/mikeyface/status/4427567085], "Dear Diary, today I did a cool thing for some fans and hilarity ensued. I never left the house again and people made fun of my hair."

Despite the numbers involved, Neumann has continued to take Xbox Live and PlayStation Network tags (he's "still figuring out the PC situation") and plans to stand behind his promise, although he did ask [http://twitter.com/mikeyface/status/4427901022] if some gamers would mind playing with Randy [I would assume that's Gearbox co-founder and CEO Randy Pitchford] instead.

Neumann's is the second high-profile and rather strange Twitter promotion made by a game developer in recent weeks: In August, Raven Lead Designer Manveer Heir Twittering [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/93862-Raven-Designer-Declares-a-Wolfenstein-Madden-Showdown], "I admire your bravery good sir. Now loot me!"

Further proof that Peter Molyneux should NEVER use Twitter...
Oh dear Lord, I'm already imagining how many times he'd have his kneecaps broken for breaking promises...

But damn, I want this game. I may or may not preorder it...

I don't know, it seems to me that, Molyneux + Twitter = Epic Hillarity.

I'm wondering if it was just people that preordered that day, or what?

Does no one else see the hilarity in this?!

I mean he has already bragged about how his game is just so much fun, he has clocked over 100+ hours playing it... [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/94957-Borderlands-Replay-Features-Will-Keep-You-Busy]

And now...all those people he will have to play co-op sessions and online matches with...no it shouldn't get boring in the slightest...

You know, I thought this was a fantastic article and I was gonna put some effort into coming up with a witty response or a clever pun to put in this thread, then I came across this picture:

You, sir, made my day. Gary Busey is one of my heroes so this pic is all the funnier. So much for thinking of a witty comment, my brain isn't working right now because of how hard I'm laughing.
