Get Down With the Full DJ Hero Track List

Activision has revealed the full list of 93 songs aspiring DJs will be able to mix and scratch their way through when DJ Hero hits shelves later this month.

The following list of 93 remixes from some pretty renowned DJs - including DJ AM, Cut Chemist, Grandmaster Flash, DJ Jazzy Jeff, J. Period, DJ Shadow and DJ Z-Trip - has a ridiculous range of styles and artists. I don't think that any previous Hero or Rock Band games have even come close to this variety: Where else are you going to find David Bowie, 50 Cent, Marvin Gaye, Foreigner and Daft Punk all in a single game?

In case you were wondering, this is also the largest collection of songs to ship on-disc with a Hero game to date. Without further ado, the master track list is as follows:

There are actually some really kickass tracks on there. In no small part due to the inclusion of plenty of DJ Shadow's work, and host of very good Hip-Hop artists.

Where's the techno? Daft punk is one of the few artists representing the genre and they are as boring as you can get in my opinion. I like mashups of all sorts but I wish that more genres were represnted besides top 40 rap and pop. I'm officially over this game. My cluttered living room thanks me.

Pretty good set list, although I would have liked to have seen a bit more old skool artists like Kool Moe Dee, Sweet T, Moni Love...here's to hoping a few more female rap artists and old skool will be alvailable for DLC.

Oh, and if we're going for newer techno/trance/electronica...I'd really like to see Iio, September and Dirty Vegas represented..

What? Me thinks there's a generation gap here. Not that I have anything against techno mind ya....I'd like to see more as well, but to say this isn't for "wanna be rappers"? Er, if you go back to the mid 80's thru early 90's, the Old Skool genre was saturated with turn table samples, scratching and mixing.....way before mainstream techo came about as we think of it today.

Admittedly, the 'scratching' died down quite a bit and doesn't play as prominent a role as it once did compared to todays 'rap', you need to go back and get some early stuff...DJ's played a much more prominent role (Jazzy Jeff, Terminator X, Melle Mel, Grand Master Flash just to name a few).

All I can say is that from the videos on that news post on Tuesday that The Killers' "Somebody Told Me" vs. Eric Prydz's "Pjaano" is frick'n awesome.

A little miscommunnication here, im talking about the artists in the game, not DJ's in general. I have nothing against DJ's or old skool scrathching and mixing cause i still love it. I was just commenting on some of the artists they put into the game.
