Say... How about sort of a strategic game in which you must construct an attack force and a fort. By sending both of these out into the net you can assault other forts and defend your own. However it is all controlled by stats and chance. Also form alliances with your friends to send troops and do joint train exercises.

The thing is that nobody even saw this coming. that these particular games would become popular. To me it's mindboggling that something like FarmVille gets so many users. What will the next big thing be? I don't know ... A game like spore only low grade enough to be played on a browser.
