Hellgate:London had a crafting system? I played it for a little while (I kept waiting for it to get better), but whatever it was that constituted "crafting" must have escaped my notice.

I found the gameplay in Champions to be... Unappealing to me.

I can say that the character creator is LOADS of fun, however.

Ugh, yeah. It was pretty mediocre. Basically every single item could be broken down into the same four parts and in town you could combine them to make new items, generated randomly through a vendor. That game was mercilessly repetitive.

And let this just be a lesson to you folks, the reason the average Canadian citizen is polite and apologetic is because we realize how it freaks all you other guys out when we show how bloody awesome we really are. Hell, even our zombies have larger vocabularies than the average American.
Before Shamus pointed out they were zombies I had them pegged for Bizarropeople. So Canada=Bizarroworld?

Pants certainly add to a leader's charisma. Though the lack of them clearly adds credence to the "no ordinary storm" idea....pants are the only thing preventing you, too, from realising....THIS IS NO ORDINARY STORM!

Bwahaha - they called *that* crafting? Oh well, kind of fits with the rest of the game.

This is one of the areas that just screams "run out of ideas". Let's get the Family Guy Dolphins onboard.

This is no ordinary storm though.

I kind of liked the basic concepts in Champions Online and the character creator is great fun. However, you pointed out a lot of the issues...I'm not sure why crafting is even part of the game for people who aren't wizards or gadgeteer types. And the constant loot drops, though an MMO convention, make little to no sense..."I just learned this cool martial arts maneuver from this imbecile "Clockwork Orange" fanatic that I pummeled." The interesting parts wore off quickly. The free demo will let you use the character creator, though...

It's true. This is no ordinary storm.

Our regular storms are much colder. I'd get heatstroke in that weather.

I lost interest when they gimped the lightning power set(chain lightning didnt chain anymore for some reason amongst many other weird power gimps) kinda made my hero useless in a fight and ruined my interest, well that and the fact the game is devoid of content once you hit lvl 22 thru 30ish and the villain you create has henchmen that are the same damn lvl as them which completly ruins the point of henchmen imo(surely they would just give the villain a kicking and head out on there own instead?)
