Japan scares me sometimes. [http://www.invertedcastle.com/archives/2005/12/01/the-japanese-game-to-end-all-japanese-games/] There's so many wonderful things that come from Japan, such as most of the things that we make here in the U.S.A.

But this isn't the first thing that comes to mind when I think of cross-genre between a fighter and whatever genre Fatal Frame is considered to be.

Check out the video [http://gpsc.hp.infoseek.co.jp/gspirits_r1_web.wmv]. Slightly not mind/work-safe due to cartoon depictions of undergarments.

I blame it on a lack of Christianity. If the poor benighted Japanese devil had an anthropomorphic being in the sky taking notes every time he thought about sex I'm sure we'd see panty shots replaced with copious amounts of blood/internal organs in no time. Like it should be.

Hah, now if only this game was an XBox360 launch title in Japan things might have been different. MS really missed a trick there! DOA4's new jiggle physics engine pales in comparison! :p

Is it wrong that I want to play that game? Honestly, though, it's sort of sad that this is the freshest, most creative game dynamic to hit the fighting game scene in a while.

This is the most Japanese videogame ever! On a technical level, you have to be impressed buy this game, as it was made by an independant group. They make a new game every year without the backing of a major company. Pretty neat!
