I'm kicking around putting together an article for an upcoming issue on people who work, or have worked, in retail gaming stores. Gamestops, Best Buys, Game Crazys, and such. I've got a bit of experience in the area, but I wanted to talk to a few more people who've endured the Christmas rush and lived to tell the tale. If you'd like to answer a few questions, hit me up at joe - at - escapistmag.com

I worked for a retail non-video gaming store, we carried lots of old D&D, SPI games, Mayfair games, that sort of thing. I could tell you about my experiences of having to tell everybody that we don't carry videogames :)

Instead of hitting you up, can I just come over and hit you?*

*This is a joke - I do not beat the team.

It seems that The Acts of Gord [http://www.actsofgord.com/index.html] would be a relevant link.

i had to sell video games for a crappy chain of denver stores at the friggin flea market on weekends.
Trying to pawn off all the multiple used copies of like... madden 99 for n64.
ugh.
and the store itself was across the street from a high school, so all the "cool" kids would loiter away ever lunch break harassing us and eating pizza on the floor.
