Zelda U, Star Fox U, Kirby's Rainbow Touch (or whatever the western title will be) and Yoshi's Wooly World are in my top list for the U. Codename S.T.E.A.M. looks like it'll be a lot of fun too. I'm cautiously optimistic for the upcoming Godzilla game but most of the PS4 games coming out are games I'll probably just ignore until I upgrade to a PS4...games like J-Star Victory VS+ and Final Fantasy XV for example.

Pillars of Eternity - Was supposed to be out this year, but I'll give them a little longer to polish things up. What I've seen so far looks great

Torment: Tides of Numenera - Always wondered what a followup to Planescape would be like. I hate that not enough Western RPG makers are trying to be creative and make some really insane settings.

Persona 5 - Though it'd be nice if we got some more info about it

Yakuza 5 - About time someone forced it out of the producer's hands and got to work localizing it. Even if it is a PSN-only release.

Mario Maker - I GET TO MAKE MY OWN FUCKING MARIO LEVELS. HO. LY. SHIT.

Xenoblade X - Giant. Fucking. Robots

Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. - Steampunk Abe Lincoln.

Devil's Third - Itagaki has not steered me wrong yet.

Star Fox - And I fully expect people to ***** about it despite having shrieked about getting a new one until their vocal cords went on strike.

Zelda - It's FUCKING ZELDA. A new generation hasn't started for me until a new Mario and new Zelda have appeared.

The titles for the WiiU are my main interest, so Zelda, StarFox, Splat00n, Xenoblade, DuckHunt and most likely something I've forgotten about.
And not gamewise, but gimickywise, the IKE amiibo is one I am thinking about getting in February when it releases.

In the unlikely event it comes out in 2015, Cyberpunk 2077. Played a lot of 2020 when I was a youngster so I'll probably always compare it unfavourably to the pnp, but this is one I'm probably going to buy on release, which is something I don't usually do. It'll be interesting to see what they do with it. Fingers crossed.

and Mordheim. What's there already looks ok.

Xenoblade Chronicles X, because the first one was so well-received, and I can't find it anywhere, so I'll settle for the second one.
You should get the first one :p
I did a quick check on ebay.com (usa ebay, I usually use the .co.uk site) and I found several copies on the first page being sold in the states, so that's one way to go :D
But yeah, I'm excited about this one as well :)

Killing Floor 2 and literally nothing else. The only thing the devs have released about it is that it's a graphically upgraded version of the same game with a huge focus on gore and gun porn, on top of expanding on enemies, bosses and weapons from the first game.

And it's everything I'd ever ask for.

Actually that's a lie. Zelda U, Saint's Row: Gat out of Hell, Star Wars Battlefront (probably not going to get, just see how it holds up), Mirror's Edge 2, and maybe Order 1886. The only games I'll certainly get besides Killing Floor 2 are Saint's Row: Gat out of Hell, Mirror's Edge 2, and Zelda U.

The three on my radar are:-

Final Fantasy XV
The Order 1886
Final Fantasy Type-0

Any others I guess will filter onto the list as the year goes on.

if you have The Order 1886 on your list then no wonder you're losing hope for gaming. you're putting faith into games that are already predestined to fail.
How can you tell its predestined to fail? You can never tell until you actually play it.
Mainly because all the gameplay footage I've seen of it reminds me of generic cover based shoot with "steam-punk" elements.

So far, Firewatch and maybe the next Kentucky Route Zero (assuming it gets released this year). I've seen lots of promising things, but I won't get excited about it until more recent information and actual game footage is released.

My purchase of a PS4 and getting Arkham Knight.

On top of that, formatting my XBox360, selling it and the games and purchasing a PS3 (Lest Sony updates the PS4 to be backwards compatible.) and getting THAT version of the games I sold.

Let's just say that this was the year where it has been "the last straw" when it comes to me and Microsoft. (We were already on short terms when they tried to do the whole "used games fee debacle" a while back. Yes, I'm still bitter on that, why do you ask?)

Oh, and I'll be selling the Blu-ray player I purchased since that will be covered now.

I'll see what I can add to my PS4 collection after I get the one main game I want.

Aside from that, adding more to my WiiU, 3DS and PSVita Collection.

Funny thing about the first one, I actually tried watching Chuggaconroy's playthrough of it, but I couldn't get past episode 23. I don't know if I'd end up liking the game. It's mostly some pet peeves about the characters, mostly the fact that I usually can't play an RPG if I don't get to customize the main character, so that's why I'm looking forward to the second one more than the first one.

Oh, I wasn't really criticizing other's lists. I was just noticing that most of the games I'm anticipating next year are indie titles while most others were posting lists comprised primarily of triple-A titles. And from my own experience, saying that triple-A games haven't interested me much lately, while having quite a few indie titles on my 'best of the year' list, has often garnered me the "hipster" or "cynic" label.

Which is odd, given my apathy or distaste for 'pretentious' games like Dear Esther and my shameless fanboy-love of things like Titanfall...

But anyway, as I was saying, I wasn't criticizing anyone for their choice of anticipated games. If anything, I'm just glad most posters are actually excited about upcoming game releases. I honestly expected to see more posts claiming "gaming is dead" or some such cynical comment.

Hope that clarifies my post.
oh completely understandable, I was just merely expressing that AAA just happens to be delivering more to my tastes than indie games are at the moment, alot of indie games have gone the way of your list or rogue-likes, and those just aren't quite what I'm looking for.

agreed on your last point, I'm impressed at how few "edgy" posts we have about gaming releases not impressing enough of the elitists, apparently the cynical posters haven't come back over the holiday weekend yet :D

The thing I heard many disliked in the first game was the long cutscenes. But they were good quality as hell and the long ones usually were how they finished of some boss or something, and the animated battlesequences were really cool so I didn't really mind :p

I have understood the first and second one aren't really connected in any way so that problem doesn't excist either :)

So it is predestined fail just because you don't like third person shooters? Makes sense!

I'm looking forward to

The order: 1886
No mans sky
Grim fandango HD

Witcher 3 and Splatoon
Those are the two titles I'm most hyped about. I've had Witcher pre-ordered since 2013 from GoG. While Splatoon just seems like it's going to be super fun.

Didn't say I don't like third person shooters just that this one doesn't seem to have anything going for it. This is mostly my gut feeling though so don't take it to heart. Could be great for all I know but from the looks of it it's nothing special.

Edit:
Basically it looks like COD but in third person and in a steam punk setting.

I've played Elder Scrolls Oblivion and Skyrim, Fallout 3 and New Vegas, hundreds of hours each, and never finished a single friggin' one of them (except the dumb non-DLC fallout 3 ending which hardly counts.) If I play all those like I've been playing them, trying to do all the side content before finishing the game, they're going to take most of next year all by themselves. Getting hyped for new distractions seems unnecessary to me.

Metal Gear Solid V, Persona 5, The Order 1886, Uncharted 4, No Man's Sky, Persona 5, Final Fantasy Type-0, Volume, the Ratchet & Clank remake and Persona 5. Final Fantasy XV if it ends up releasing in 2015 and is actually good. Still holding out hope for Fallout 4 to come out this year too.
