Harmonix Unveils Track List, First DLC for PSP's Rock Band Unplugged

Developer Harmonix has unveiled the official track listing for the upcoming PSP-exclusive Rock Band Unplugged, alongside word of the game's first downloadable content.

The majority of the tracks featured in the first handheld entry in the hyper-successful Rock Band series are tunes that have appeared in previous games. Artists include Bon Jovi, Foo Fighters and The Killers.

Courtesy distribution partner Electronic Arts, here's the full rundown:

2000s

AFI - "Miss Murder" *
All-American Rejects - "Move Along"
Audioslave - "Gasoline" *
Black Tide - "Show Me the Way" *
Freezepop - "Less Talk More Rokk" *
Jimmy Eat World - "The Middle"
The Killers - "Mr. Brightside"

Lacuna Coil - "Our Truth"
Lamb of God - "Laid to Rest"
Modest Mouse - "Float On"
Queens of the Stone Age - "3's and 7's"
System of a Down - "Chop Suey!"
Tenacious D - "Rock Your Socks" *

1990s

3 Doors Down - "Kryptonite" *
Alice in Chains - "Would?" *
Blink 182 - "What's My Age Again" *
Foo Fighters - "Everlong"
Judas Priest - "Painkiller"
Lit - "My Own Worst Enemy"
Lush - "De-Luxe"
Mighty Mighty Bosstones - "Where'd You Go?"
Nine Inch Nails - "The Perfect Drug"

Nirvana - "Drain You"
The Offspring - "Come Out and Play (Keep 'em Separated)"
Pearl Jam - "Alive"
Smashing Pumpkins - "Today"
Social Distortion - "I Was Wrong"
Soundgarden - "Spoonman"
Weezer - "Buddy Holly"

1980s

Billy Idol - "White Wedding Part 1"
Bon Jovi - "Livin' on a Prayer"
Dead Kennedys - "Holiday in Cambodia"

Motörhead - "Ace of Spades"
The Police - "Message in a Bottle"
Siouxsie & the Banshees - "The Killing Jar"

1970s

Boston - "More Than a Feeling"
Jackson 5 - "ABC" *
Jethro Tull - "Aqualung"

Kansas - "Carry on Wayward Son
Rush - "The Trees"

1960s

The Who - "Pinball Wizard"

Additionally, the firm has also revealed the first ten downloadable tracks for the game. Come June 9, the game's release date, these songs will be available for download from the PSP's iteration of the PlayStation Network Store.

30 Seconds to Mars - "The Kill"
Belly - "Feed the Tree"
Disturbed - "Inside the Fire"
Lynyrd Skynyrd - "Gimme Three Steps"
Muse - "Hysteria"
Mute Math - "Typical"
No Doubt - "Just a Girl"
Oasis - "Wonderwall"
Paramore - "Crushcrushcrush"
Red Hot Chili Peppers - "Under the Bridge"

So far there's no word on how much the DLC will set you back, but we expect it will follow the pricing scheme established by the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Rock Band. That is, each tune will set you back roughly $2, and most will also be available in a discounted theme pack.

Normally this is where gaming writers would take a moment to request that Harmonix add their favorite band/genre/song to Rock Band as future downloadable content, but being the card-carrying nonconformist that I am I would instead like to request that Harmonix revive the Frequency/Amplitude series for the PSP.

Rock Band Unplugged essentially steals its gameplay and control system from that earlier rhythm series, and I still have Garbage's "Cherry Lips" stuck in my head after all these years like some kind of malignant, Shirley Manson-shaped tumor.

"Unveils", haha.

It got leaked, they might as well tell everyone before the pirates do*.

Which they failed on, by the way

Anyways, the track list is awesome, the price is right [http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&MSCSProfile=3C79F0C7EA3162B26C5CAD785174A5AA46BD65FDCB96F12787BA01DEBCD941D94DBE638AB39F7D4FE4A6E4687D56B332EFC7B8B581C875BA16F07013DB32D27945C1863A3B82817150BB618441E8E0CF4B0CE028BF2F41492049E1956814D2E20A1A00A61D9A28EFA4AB02DE05979BAAE96AF69BFB4F3267&sku_id=0665000FS10124018&catid=22441], and there's gonna be DLC. I'll be buying it, leak or no.

Is this game going to be played like the GH one for the DS?

Songs are decent but they certainly lack punch in the 60/70s department.

I just hope they release some Jackson 5 as DLC for Rock Band. Need another reason for my friends to mock me.

This is basically copying most of Rock Band 2s setlist here, though the different songs are awesome.
Yeah... I preferred RB one's tracks. I also lack a PSP.

And to the OP: HELL YEAH. We need Amplitude back, that game was awesome sauce.

I too request, nay demand, that Frequency/Amplitude be revived. I'll be getting Rock Band Unplugged, though truthfully I'm not too impressed with the presentation based on my first glimpses of the game.

Ok. After reading that list I've only heard of 1 or 2 of the songs from the 2000's and 1990's and practically all the ones from the 80's, 70's and 60's.

What the hell is wrong with me!? I was born in 1989!!!
