LittleBigPlanet Spin-Off Brings Sackboy to 25,000,000 B.C.

Sony has come up with a prehistoric LittleBigPlanet spin-off to tide us over until LittleBigPlanet 2 comes out.

When Sony and Media Molecule announced that PlayStation Move [http://www.amazon.com/LittleBigPlanet-2-Playstation-3/dp/B002I0K780/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1290195613&sr=8-4] called Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves.

Prehistoric Moves is evidently the 10 level Move demo [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/103978-LittleBigPlanet-2-Shipping-With-Ten-Level-Move-Demo] teased last month. However, it won't just be a demonstration of how PlayStation Move can work in LittleBigPlanet, but a full adventure.

The 10 level theme brings Sackboy back to the days when dinosaurs roamed the Earth. Players will take on missions given to them by Terrance Dactyl as they hunt for the mighty Big Rex. Up to four friends can once again join the fray, but one will need a Move controller this time.

Prehistoric Moves is a co-op experience that requires at least one of Sony's motion wands and one Dualshock controller. The player holding the Move controller will lead the way for the prehistoric Sackboys trying to get through each level by flipping switches, triggering platforms, and blasting crates of score bubbles. It sounds like a unique way to incorporate Move into the LittleBigPlanet experience without changing the series' basic controls or platforming aspects.

It'll also feature new trophies and presumably include awesome new Sackboy outfits and items from the prehistoric age. The adventure is standalone and will be included in LittleBigPlanet 2 for free, but Sony is also going to put it up on the PlayStation Network for $5.99 on December 14, while PlayStation Plus subscribers and what Sony's calling "LittleBigPlanet supporters" will be able to download it for free starting on December 7. I had always hoped that someday my Sackboy would wield a giant hock of meat.

Oh cool. I guess I'll just wait for that then, especially seeing as I have no move controllers.

Media Molecule is on my "List of Developers to Support" list, so I would buy a move controller just to buy this.

I would, but I'm not.

Still awesome though, I can never resist the cute lil' Sackperson :D

It sold quite a lot at launch actually.

But I'm pretty sure it's dead now.

I am waiting for Sony or Namco(??) to release the PS Move bundle, The Big 3 Gun Shooting to the US. http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-zd-49-en-70-3w2i.html I am not intrested in the bad Wii clones the Move and Kinect have. BUT Little Big Planet 2 might sway me over to the move (along with the update for RE 5 Gold Edition).
