2000 AD Comes to LittleBigPlanet

People who think cuteness and violence don't mix obviously haven't seen the new LittleBigPlanet [http://www.mediamolecule.com/2009/05/28/store-update-2000ad-costume-pack/], a collection of outfits that turns Sackboy into classic characters like Judge Dredd, Johnny Alpha and the Rogue Trooper.

Launching today, the 2000 AD [http://www.2000adonline.com/] costume pack includes Judge Dredd, Judge Anderson, Rogue Trooper, Johnny Alpha and Hammerstein, along with 17 2000 AD-themed stickers. The costumes are available individually for $1.99 or as a complete set for $5.99.

To mark the release, Media Molecule also posted a quick interview [http://www.mediamolecule.com/2009/05/28/2000ad-mm-interview-with-pat-mills/#more-1179] with Pat Mills, one of the creators of the 2000 AD comic book. He suggested that anyone unfamiliar with the stories and characters begin with Judge Dredd as well as graphic novels like Slaine the Horned God and Judge Dredd: Cursed Earth; to those fine suggestions I would add two of my own, Rogue Trooper: War Machine, the 1993 remake of the Rogue Trooper origin story, and for laughs, the Simon Bisley-illustrated Batman/Judge Dredd crossover Judgment on Gotham.

Images of the costumes in action as well as background information on the characters they're based on have been posted on Paintinator [http://mediamolecule.com/] Lawgiver? My heart melts.

You obviously aren't aware of the God of War costume pack.

Hammerstein? awww... I was hoping for Zippo or Steelhead.

Ah well, a lot of companies seem to be getting behind Little Big Planet, which can only be a good thing.

...that's... really random. It's not bad or anything. It's just, there are a ton of other settings and characters that you would think they would make DLC based on first.

Must be a british thing, because I had no idea who Judge Dredd was until I wiki'd him.

Who's that? I have no idea. Looks like Captain Falcon.

But as others have stated above: needs more levels, less costumes (though they are cool, levels and things to stick IN levels are cooler).

How about fixing the collectible limit before you keep releasing more crap to fill us up with?
