Tron: Legacy Remade a la 8-Bit Mega Man

What sort of power-up do you get for beating Light Cycle Man?

Fallout isn't the only thing getting an Tron: Legacy [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/106587-Fallout-3-Gets-the-8-Bit-Demake-Treatment] as if it were a game played on the original NES.

To be specific, this is Tron: Legacy as if it were Mega Man. It's harder to catch during the light cycle bit, but during the disc battle those jump sprites are unmistakable.

Okay, there's not much to say about this one other than that it's cute, nostalgic and pretty skillfully executed (and I'm loving that 8-bit Daft Punk remix), so how about some random wishes? The Tron tie-in game Mega Man sequels [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/editorials/reviews/8431-Review-Tron-Evolution].

I think I'd totally play a new old-school Tron game if it were released on XBLA/PSN/Wii-Ware and done in the style of Mega Man. Is anyone else with me on this?

Nifty as this is I somehow doubt the Nintendo entertainment system could run it.
Yeah, I love what qualifies as 8-bit these days. Just because you edited some Mega Man sprites does not mean that it's 8-bit.

Neat. Also... check this out:
that. . . that was fucking awesome. XD

Since I just watched the original again the other day after getting home from Tron: Legacy, it's awesome to see that some people have the same nerdy knowledge as me. :D

also, that totally does look like Jeff Bridges.

Wow those 25 seconds were more fun and exciting than the whole damn movie, nice!

(I'm not being sarcastic)
