Being a Real-Life Fruit Ninja Is Harder Than It Looks

Who knew it was so difficult to slice small flying objects in half?

Halfbrick's ninjas and fruit [http://www.fruitninja.com/]. Ninjas hate fruit.

It's true that the ninja on your iPhone or iPad may be able to effortlessly slice through flying melons and berries and citrus fruits with a mere swipe of your finger, splattering the wall behind them with angrily slashes of juice and pulp.

Trying the same thing in real life, though? As we see in the video here, it doesn't go to well. Dude needs to seriously brush up on his ninja skills - or at least stop using kitchen cutlery as his weapon.

He looks more like that Sparta guy than a Ninja. If here were to wear all black I'm sure his skills would be 100x better.

That's the first thing that caught my mind. Yeah, the voice was different, but he really did look like that guy.

They all had a laugh, everyone at the Escapist had a laugh. Good times indeed. And he did cut that melon pretty damn good, i have to say. Well done!

I work in a grocery store, as a produce clerk. It's a very good way to brush up on ones fruit ninja skills. Although we use much smaller blades (damn you trimming knives!) so it gets hard to cut the larger things in half in one shot.

Also, love the underwear. In America!

Nothing like misplaced ambition. Looks like fun, I'd certainly give it a go (and would probably be even worse!)

Lol that's just awesome, mostly because they seemed to have so much fun filming it. It kind of rubs off on ya.

Must link this to one of my Uni lecturers. He was some part of the team behind Fruit Ninja, is immensely proud of it. No clue WHAT he did for the team, but this would amuse him.

As I see it, he got 6 or 7 points. I couldn't really tell if the melon was mostly just from hitting the ground, so it's debatable.

You're quite right, it did.

He should have listened better, fruit is crafty, conventional weapons are all but useless against their trickery.
