Black Knight Sword Looks Like The World's Craziest Puppet Show
The latest game from Grasshopper Manufacture looks like those puppet shows we all watched as kids, only with changing backgrounds and lots of sword fights.
Remember how, earlier this month, it was revealed that Grasshopper Manufacture and Digital reality were joining forces to create a couple of games for release on XBLA and PSN? The first game was Sine Mora, a diesellpunk shooter that looks like it was inspired by Crimson Skies. The next game that the companies have announced is called Black Knight Sword and it's promising to be one of the weirdest (and possibly most stylish) platformers to come out in a while.
The game was announced at a Grasshopper Manufacture event that took place this week during Gamescom. Based on the included footage, Black Knight Sword looks like it'll be a 2D side-scrolling platform action/adventure with a visual presentation that looks like it's straight out of a puppet show, with background scenery constantly switching around while the character runs about.
At the moment, it hasn't been revealed when the game will be released, other than a vague reference to "next year." Still, based on the gameplay footage, this looks like it coule be a lot of fun.
