A recent article in the Las Vegas Review-Journal quoted Mayor Oscar Goodman saying Rainbow Six: Vegas could be ?harmful economically,? to which the games publisher and developer responds.

A recent article in the Las Vegas Review-Journal quoted Mayor Oscar Goodman saying Rainbow Six: Vegas could be "harmful economically," to which the games publisher and developer responds.

This is just really strange, since I don't recall anything like this for GTA: San Andreas. I guess I can see where they're coming from though: It's all well and good to be associated with gambling, hookers, drugs, and other sorts of debauchery - just don't even joke about the terr'ists.

I guess if the audience for tactical shooters also has a really big problem separating fantasy from reality, this could be a serious issue. Or if the news uses videogames to choose their special topics. "Could terrorists capture Las Vegas? See our special report at 11"
