Rage Teaser Site Goes Live

The official Rage teaser site has gone live, offering an interactive glimpse into id Software's [http://www.idsoftware.com] vision of a barren, post-apocalyptic wasteland.

The site is a Rage Twitter [http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/] channel urges fans to "return to the site every day this week to learn more" while the site itself indicates updates will be doled out over a four-week schedule.

Even though the site is new, the blasted desert holds a few interesting sites to see. A solitary observer looks out over the bleak landscape while ragged, smoke-belching airships float through the skies above. A wrecked airliner yields a small measure of background information; looming over it is the rotting hulk of what appears to be a freighter named Apophis, which as all Stargate [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Egyptologists] fans know is the name of an evil ancient Egyptian demon who battled Ra, the Sun God, every day in an attempt to bring darkness and chaos to the world.

Coincidence? I wonder...

There's more to see but I don't want to spoil all the fun for you, so have a look at PlayStation 3 [http://www.aftertheimpact.com/].

Isn't ot fascinating that something like this can be an ad, whereas things like Mist were revolutionary games?

Myst was a good game. :p I enjoyed it a lot. The subsequent games got old a little to fast for my tastes though.

I eagerly await Rage. Love Mad Max and all that.
